Broadcasting Authority of Ireland
Section 8.1 of the Code specifies that:
- spirits with an Alcohol By Volume (ABV) above 25% and so-called, “ready to drink” products (RTDs) cannot advertise on Irish broadcast media
- advertising should not depict alcohol as a stimulant, a sedative, tranquilizer or a means of resolving personal conflicts.
- commercial communications for alcoholic drinks shall not link the consumption of alcohol to enhanced physical performance or to driving.
